Customized Architectural Finishes

Traditional and Modern

Decorative Painting

Decorative Painting is accomplished using just about any paint medium you can think of. However as we are becoming more and more aware of how traditional paint affects our environment we are increasingly encouraging clients to consider letting us combine Venation Plaster and Lime Paint with our finishes so that we can have a more eco-friendly finish.

Venetian Plaster

Venetian Plaster is a very old technique that has been around since the time of the Egyptians, turned into an art by the Greeks and perfected by the Italians during the Renaissance. The product is made from lime mixed with unheated crushed limestone. Venetian plaster is a natural eco-friendly product that is mold and mildew resistant.

Applied with a spatula and trowel and then burnished, it creates a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. Venetian Plaster is very versatile. When it is applied in the traditional way it has a very slick urban quality but with a distressed technique it can achieve infinite textured finishes ranging from old world stucco, to walls that look like linen. Of all the finishes we do this is the one we and our clients have the most fun and satisfaction with.

Lime Paint

Lime Paint is a mineral base paint with great strength. There are many benefits to using lime paint, such as adhesion, design, breath-ability and anti-mold protection. Today’s modern faux finisher has many uses for lime paint, and can easily achieve effects such as lime washing and decorative masonry painting. Lime Paint is truly a product that needs to be seen in order to be understood it is 100% natural and eco-friendly and when applied using our Italian made sponges you achieve a soft rustic look unattainable with traditional paint.
